1948. 10. Founded Joseon Marine Surveyors Association
1948. 11. Renamed and incorporated as Korea Marine Surveyors Association by the approval from the Ministry of Transportation of Korea
1964. 11. Obtained marine inspection and measuring business license from the Ministry of Transportation of Korea
1969. 12. Incorporated and renamed as Korea Marine Surveyors & Sworn Measurers’ Corporation
1975. Registered as an official inspection company at shipping origin with Taiwanese office of Supply
1979. Marked as the first Korean Surveyor company who owned ten(10) branches nationwide
1988. Opened KOMSA’s own laboratory
1995. Designated as an official inspection company for Korea International Cooperation Agency’s aid material
1997. Registered as an accredited inspection company at shipping origin with Office of Supply of Korea.
1998. 01. Designated as an accredited appraiser for oil pollution damages under oil pollution damage recovery act
1999. 10. Obtained ISO 9002(1994), KSA 9002(1998) : Approval No. 64220 by BVQI




2003. 04. Obtained ISO 9001(2000) : Approval No. 016881 by BM TRADA
2004. 11. Entered into Bilateral Representation relationship with Baltic Control, Ltd. of Denmark
2004. 12. Obtained prequalification approval from Korea Gas Corporation(KOGAS) as a qualified LNG-unloading inspection company
2005. 04. Founded KOMSA Surveyors & Adjusters Co., Ltd.
2005. 12. Entered into Survey Service with POSCO about Raw Material Import at Factory of Pohang
2009. 04. Entered into Survey Service with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. about Business of Pre shipment Inspection(PSI) & Towing
2009. 12. Entered into Survey Service with Bureau Veritas(BV) about Business of Preshipment Inspection(PSI)
2010. 01. Entered into Survey Service with Hanjin Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. about Business of Preshipment Inspection(PSI) & Towing
2010. 07. Obtained ISO 9001(2008) : Approval No. Q408410 by ICR
2013. 03. Entered into Survey Service with POSCO P&S about Raw Material Import and POSCO about Carbon Steel, Raw Material of Stainless Import at Factory of Pohang
2015. 03. Geo-Chem and KOMSA signed an Agreement.
